Setting The Environment

Our role as a youth ministry team—full-time, part-time, or volunteer—is to help students feel known and cared for. By engaging with teenagers from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave, we can help break down the walls they’ve built up throughout the week, creating a space for them to be vulnerable with their hearts and have a personal encounter with Jesus. Karl Romeus, a 15-year youth ministry veteran, shares a handful of practical tips for setting the temperature of a youth ministry environment.
