We have some very exciting news to make you all aware of in the world of student ministries. On October 22nd from 12PM-2PM the North Hills Community Church Youth Group from Greer, South Carolina (7th-12th grade) Will be hosting a service project at the Piedmont Women's Center in Downtown Greenville. I am posting the sign up link below, which will have ALL the information you will need so our students can be set up for success.  This event will have a deadline of October 16th at Midnight, which will be enforced. The reason why we are having a deadline is so we can be respectful to the staff and organization of P.W.C. with them being properly prepared for us.  The jobs will consist of yard work, trash pick up, painting, etc. - so they will need a generous heads up on how many people we are bringing so they have the proper amount of tools, paint, leaders, etc.    -  All other details are on the sign up link.

I have really been meditating on the verse Mark 10:45
"For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”   Are we really living a life that shouts this out?!  I find myself not living in this mind set. Life is all about me, right? Of course I don't think or believe that but my life certainly seems that way at times.

I hope when people think of the youth group of North Hills Community Church, they just get blown away with how much we serve. Jesus Christ is the ultimate example of service and we want our lives to shine the light of Jesus all around Greenville county. The best way we can do this is through showing the community not how much we know, but how much we care!  The interesting thing about this P.W.C. location is that it's right next to the largest abortion clinic in South Carolina. My prayer is that the people of this clinic will somehow be reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ and P.W.C. being right next to them is exactly what needs to be in their back yard! Hopefully we can be an encouragement to this awesome organization and refuel their tanks!

If you want to tell others about this service opportunity, please direct them to our new student web site at and the sign up link is the under the "upcoming events" tab.
Also, be sure to check out the Calendar page because we are constantly updating that with helpful descriptions and additions to the rest of the 2011 year!

We love you guys and are constantly interceding on your behalf to the Father.  May the God of peace and comfort bless your everyday life!

In Christ,

Tim Wadsworth - Director of Student Ministries
